This traditional handicraft has been recently rediscovered . Although today it is more the stylish pieces that are of interest rather than felt as a basic material. Making felt lends itself to creative work with the possibilities of differing colour and form combinations. The wet felting technique is used in this kit. Felt wool is kneaded in a warm soap solution, then massaged and pressed in the desired form. This technique is a wonderful tactile experience for both children and adults and is used in therapies - felting in groups as a communicative experience.
Contents: circa 100 gm wool in various colours with plenty of grey for the mouse, about 50 gm soap flakes and instructions on making balls, animals and beads for a necklace.
From 5 years, develops creativity and tactile awareness.
